School Library

  

Developing an interest and love of books is an important step towards learning to read.  Every Thursday at the beginning of the morning and afternoon sessions, we have a small library in the entrance hall to enable children to borrow our books.  We welcome (rely on!) parents to help run the library and would ask if even once a term you could give half an hour of your time at the beginning of either Thursday session to ensure that we can continue to run our library for the children.  We would be grateful if parents would ensure that they return each book before borrowing another one.

Storysack Library

 

During the year, all the children will have the opportunity to borrow Storysacks, and to enjoy the activities at home with their parents.

 

 

Your child's book: All about Me

 

During the time your child is at nursery we would like to compile a book entitled All About Me including contributions from home and nursery special to your child.  We have purchased files for this purpose and when your child leaves us, he/she will be given their book to keep. 

 

As the money for these has to come from nursery funds, we would welcome a contribution of £1 towards the cost.  We would also like to ask for a photograph of your child and if possible his/her family and pets.
