On behalf of staff and governors we would like to welcome you to our school.

Our aim is to provide an outstanding experience for both you and your child - one that will ensure that your child is able to start full-time school as a confident, curious and independent learner and that you will feel welcomed, valued and respected as a true partner in your child’s learning.

George Dent Nursery School is a very special place.  Opened in 1917, it is the second oldest Nursery School in the country.  It was described as a pioneer school then, and has continued to be at the fore-front of innovative Early Years education ever since.  Its ‘outstanding’ reputation has been verified by Ofsted on 3 separate occasions.
